Enjoy My Beauty but please don't let me be miss understood.

There are thousand of varieties and species of wood. We only work with native woods of North America. More specifically or woods are all hard woods to either recycle and repurposed or save from the burn piles and the end of sawmills pile. The woods we use most come for a hundred mile radius of Mesopotamia in Trumbull County Ohio. As large percent comes from right around where we live in Geauga County Ohio. Oak, Maple, Walnut, Cherry, Hickory, Elm, Apple, Osage Orange are all local.

We are very lucky that way. Some Crafters must have their wood shipped hundreds of miles to their locations. Some are have know choice other than to buy their woods in Crafter Shops and local retail lumber yards. That limits what is available to them and runs up the price of their goods. Maybe they could consider using woods local to them whenever possible, For what we do we just happen to be in the right place at the right time allowing us to find "first choice materials" at Sawmill prices or better. Reclaimed wood is even harder to get and cost even more to prepare. It has to be ....

Don't get me wrong. There are a lot of people, tools, materials and time involved to create fine wood slabs that can be turned into natural functional art. Selection, sawmills, grading, trucking, drying, and finishing wood are all steps required before wood can be used by any craftsman or craftswoman.

Since...

Wood properly used and maintained can be a pleasure to use for generations.
