This is a scene from one of the large local lumber yards. The tree shown here as the arrive at the yard and before they are processed. Much of the wood we would use from here would be the discards and "cut-offs". Cut-offs are pieces of logs not acceptable to factories that make mass market furnishing.
The largest part of the wood we use are set aside for us at smaller local sawmills. When one of our friendly mill operators happens onto a log with lots of character they set it aside for us. We provide them with our specifications to save as much of the log as is possible.
We have been know for taking wonder wood destined to become firewood and creating fine furniture and house hol accessories out of it. Check it out and see for yourself.
